AUTUMN LEAF SPECIAL
TO HOCKESSIN

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2024
2:30 PM

Boarding begins at 2:15 PM.

Surround yourself with the beauty and splendor of Autumn during the most colorful time of the year. The wooded hills of northern Delaware come alive with the vibrant colors of Autumn, and the best place to see them is aboard our historic train.

On our 2½-hour round-trip to Hockessin, you'll travel the entire length of the railroad (a 17-mile round-trip) to the town of Hockessin. You'll spend a ½-hour layover in Hockessin, where you can browse the local shops or purchase food for the return trip from one of several eateries near the tracks.

This departure is powered by one of our antique steam locomotives.

However, there is no wheelchair lift available at any of our stops, including the Mt. Cuba Picnic Grove and Hockessin. Train doorways are only 24-inches wide and there is limited space for wheelchair storage on the train.
