Reading from a prepared script, the Narrator rides on the train and uses the public-address system to point out the historic sights along the trip.
Our friendly train crew makes a ride on the Wilmington & Western a trip to remember! As a member of the crew, you'll ride on the train, punching tickets and conversing with the passengers. Starting as Passenger Attendant, you can progress from Trainman to Brakeman to Conductor.
Once qualified on the train crew, you can move into the locomotive cab as a Fireman and Engineer. You'll learn what it takes to operate a diesel or steam locomotive.
With a lot of enthusiasm and a little training, you can help maintain our tracks and learn both old and new methods of track reconstruction.
As a member of our shop crew, you'll work with a project leader to repair and maintain our historic collection of steam and diesel locomotives, as well as our antique coaches and cabooses.
